Currently all of our services are being live streamed in our sanctuary or on our YouTube account and can be viewed from the comfort of your home. One of the blessings of this time is that our worship is now more accessible than ever.
In Person Worship
First Church is making strides in becoming a more accessible building and community for individuals with disabilities, for everyone. Our Sanctuary is wheelchair accessible, as is Lindsay Chapel, and Margaret Jewett Hall and the Hastings Room where most of our church meetings are held. There are four accessible restrooms on the first floor, and two accessible (or disability) parking spaces on Garden Street in front of the church. Remember that use of these spaces requires a disability plate or placard. In addition, we have recently installed push-button automatic door openers at the 11 Garden Street entrance near the playground on the north side of the church.
On Sunday mornings, large print service bulletins and assistive listening devices are always available. For many other church events, large print materials are available (or available upon request!). Please let us know if you have a question or concern about an accessibility issue that you do not see addressed here.
