Gather with members and friends of Harvard Square churches for a free, online workshop to become more aware of your “inner polarizer” and learn methods for disagreeing without contempt and ridicule. Organized by Braver Angels, the “Depolarizing Within” workshop is designed to foster skills to help you lessen the effects of polarization when you encounter them in your political conversations.

For people of faith, civil discourse begins in recognizing the image of God in our conversation
partner. We can have mutual respect for each other because of our belief that all are children of
God. Respect, not agreement, is an essential key for a healthy discussion. This workshop
addresses how we may inadvertently be complicit in, or possibly even encourage, polarization.
