Join textile artists Sarah Fujiwara, Gail Willett and Carol Anne Grotrain for the next steps on our journey of creating Wade in the Water: Remembering and Honoring Enslaved Africans and Native Americans at First Church in Cambridge. At these workshops, participants will learn about traditional fabric-dyeing methods, assist in stenciling African Adinkra symbols, and begin the embroidery of background images to which we will add the embroidered names of those we remember and honor.
