Post-Election Hymn Sing
Thursday, November 7, 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Sanctuary

All are invited to join us for a time of connection through song. Peter Sykes will lead us in singing from our hymnal, while Emma Mitchell and Sarah Higginbotham will offer a few community songs that speak to our experiences of this week. Come be a part of something greater than ourselves as we begin to navigate the road ahead.

We always sing against the odds.
We sing hope when there is none, courage when we are afraid.
We sing thanks while we are grieving and tomorrow while we are dying.
We have stood for centuries powerless against tyrants, useless against greed,
pride and ambition, up to our necks in trouble,
discouraged by our weaknesses, bereft of help
and without a prayer – except for our songs.
Anywhere you look in the human family, when trouble comes,
the next thing you’ll hear is singing.
