You may have heard the exciting news that after months of preparation and waiting, our Welcome Corps group was matched with a newcomer family! A Somali mother and her adult son are traveling very soon to make their new home here. Our team is working to welcome them at the airport with open arms and to companion them as they find their way into housing, health care, learning English, finding jobs, and more. If you can join us in assisting and getting to know them, please complete this form as a first step. We have roles for time commitments small and large.

Warm Winter Clothing Needed

As the refugees will be arriving directly from Africa into a cold New England November, we are asking for donations of warm clothing. They are a woman and her adult son; we do not yet know their sizes, but all donations are welcome and any extra clothing will be given to the Friday Café. Please bring in any items from the list below ASAP, as the newcomers are arriving within the next few days. There will be a plastic bin just inside the doors next to the Church offices in which to put them. Please bring in male or female adult sizes of warm coats, hats, gloves, mittens, boots, scarves, socks, fleece, sweaters, sweatshirts, and sweatpants.
